Feeding birds could land you an Asbo

Pesky pigeon-feeders could be issued with antisocial behaviour orders (Asbos) if requests not to feed the pests are ignored.

Mick McDonagh, manager of the High Chelmer Shopping Centre in Chelmsford, is teaming up with Chelmsford Council to rid an area outside an entrance to the mall of pigeons.

Notices are due to go up asking people not to feed pigeons in Exchange Way and possibly Market Square.

Mr McDonagh said: "It is also highly possible that someone could be issued with an antisocial behaviour order if they continue to flout that reasonable request."
