| Bakewell: Mandale House |
|
Situated on the edge of Lathkill Dale in the "White Peak" area of the
Peak District National Park. It is part of a working farm which has its
own beef herd and sheep flock. The house lies about one and a half
miles from the village of Over Haddon and three miles from the old
market town of Bakewell. Lathkill Dale is now a nature reserve managed
by English Nature to protect a variety of flora and fauna as well as
some outstanding geological features. Also available is a camping barn
and ground.
