The Cottage Lodge was constructed in 1650 from reclaimed ships timbers (from the Kings Fleet, at Bucklers Hard), hand made bricks and sand.

It has been extended into a superb 12-bedroom B&B. You can experience the original building in the charming beamed Snug Bar or the Gillies Restaurant.

Around Brockenhurst you will find beautiful, accessible, level areas to walk, cycle and horse ride.

All year round you can just walk or cycle out from the front door of the property and be in the forest in minutes.

A range of walks are available from the hotel - some of which take in a pub… or two.
