RSPB LodmoorLodmoor reserve is a Royal Society for the Protection of Birds nature reserve, a mile east of Weymouth, Dorset near the village of Preston. The reserve is composed of reed bed, salt marsh, wet grassland and open water, and is separated from Weymouth Bay by Greenhill beach and the A353 road. RSPB Lodmoor reserve has a grazing marsh with ditches, shallow pools, reedbed and bushes. You can see bearded tits and Cetti's warblers all year and there is one of the largest breeding colonies of common terns in the south-west. In autumn you can see hundreds of swallows, martins migrating and wading birds. In winter there are ducks, geese and bitterns. Map
