Bramingham Wood

Bramingham Wood is an area of natural woodland, located immediately to the north of the town of Luton in Bedfordshire. Typically, the bird life includes Great Spotted, Green Woodpecker, Nuthatch, Tree Creeper and the most tits. Tawny Owls and Sparrowhawk breed.

The Winter months sees Woodcock and small flocks of Redwings. Grey Wagtails have been recorded. Summer visitors include Ciffchatff, Blackcap and Willow Warber with occasional Whitethroat. Spotted Flycatchers, Redstart and Pied Flycatcher have been recorded and Bramingham holds a good population of Song Thrush. In all, around 50 species of birds are recorded each year.
