A sandstone island with lighthouse. St Mary's is also a SSSI and a VMR. ST Mary's local patch is from the Brierdene to Colywell Bay Seaton Sluice. You may see Wheatears, Yellow Wagtails, Pallas's Warbler, Yellow-Browed Warbler, Roseate, Arctic, Common and Sandwich Terns as well as Teal, Mallard, Tufted Duck, Garganey and Wigeon.
