The Trust's nature reserves are its most important nature conservation assets. Many are designated as Sites of Special Scientific Interest, whilst some are of international status with designations under the European Habitats Directive. Some are home to rare species or habitats, are valued for their geological interest, or represent ëtypical' examples of important ecosystems.
