Most birders, when asked about the Isle of Man, only mention the
Calf of Man Bird Observatory - but it is so much more than that 'little
rock' off the south-western tip of the main island! With a wide variety
of habitats ranging from mountain and moor land, sea-cliffs, coastal
heath land, sandy beaches, tidal pools and a variety of woods and
plantations, the Isle of Man must have a bigger range of 'bird
friendly' locations than any other similar sized area in the British
Isles.
