This forest area includes one of the Forest District's main recreational facilities: Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre. The forest is shaped like a horseshoe above a deep valley which stretches all the way to the sea 10 miles away.

The views are breathtaking, and there is something on offer here for all the family, from waymarked forest walks and mountain bike routes to watching the daily Red Kite feeding.
