Radnorshire Wildlife Trust Reserves
Radnorshire Wildlife Trust owns or manages a network of nature reserves across the county. These cover a range of habitats from woodland to moorland, wetland to meadow, from the small wet grassland of Werndryd to the marvellous open vistas of Gilfach Farm or Beacon Hill. All of them harbour important, and sometimes threatened, or rare species.

The Trust operates an open access policy where possible. Those reserves where access is in some way restricted are described here with details on how you may still visit them.

In recent years the Trust has undertaken considerable work on the reserves, firstly with a Biological Evaluation Project, which, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, allowed the Trust to undertake very detailed species surveys of a number of the reserves. Secondly, in 1999 this was followed up by a grant for capital works, also from Heritage Lottery Fund, to enable the Trust to put into place recommendations in the management plans. This has given us the opportunity to implement changes, both for the benefit of the wildlife on the reserves, and also for our visitors.
The Trust always welcomes feedback from reserve visits. If you see interesting species, or encounter any problems, please contact us.

We very much hope that you enjoy your visits and encounters with wildlife.

Rydym yn wir gobeithio y byddwch yn mwynhau eich ymweliadau a'r bywyd gwyllt.
