Can't compare to last year as I'd only just started birding in late March and was not really paying attention then!

So far this year I've had 1 young Chaffinch, who stayed in the tree while Dad came to the feeders and took food back for him. About 4 young Starlings who devour the fat balls, and approximately 6 young House Sparrows that fight with the Starlings for the fat balls.

I've also had a noticeable sharp increase in visiting Blue tit and I suspect the young aren't too far away. Also regular Greenfinch, Great tit, Collared doves, Goldfinch, Blackbird and an ocassional Magpie and Dunnock - but haven't seen any of these chicks yet.
