A NB Whale turned up in Loch Eil and there were initial thoughts that it may be one and the same however we used your pics of the dorsal and lumbar John and compared it to pics from Loch Eil and were able to discount that theory so thanks for that!
The Loch Eil whale was helped out of the Loch by a technique used for the first time and which can be read about here:

Glad my images helped, I'm assuming you are talking about the use of Orca sounds to drive the whale out to deeper water, it sounds a good idea if it works. Will check the link now to see if that's what you meant by the new technique, I've been keeping a look out for any indication that the whale from the clyde survived, I hope it did but have my doubts
