Unlike, I suspect, many members here, I don't go dashing around the countryside,
never mind the World, ticking off every rare bird that I can, to add to my tickers list. To say that I'm a home bird is actually an understatement, cause I don't even own a passport!
Of course, everyone's entitled to their own approach.
However, I prefer and am quite content to, simply keep an eye on my own little patch here.
So I'm delighted to see that within the last few days,
Snow Bunting &
Redwing have been spotted up here in
Norn Iron.
I get a lot of pleasure from simply being visited by birds like these, each year and for me there's something special about them visiting me, rather than the other way round.
I wonder who else will come a'calling this Winter.
Cheers
Dick
