Picture Trip to Isle of Mull (1) Small brown birds
The Isle of Mull in the Inner Hebrides is renowned for it's diverse and unspoilt habitat and it is a cornucopia of flora and fauna. We had numerous encounters with birds of prey and so many bird moments that they are too abundant to recount. I was blessed to see Red Throated Divers and enjoyed watching the Common Terns fishing off jetties and in the open sea. Some birds did prove elusive... but that's always the way... I'll just have to visit again and try to find enough quiet moments to allow the birds to come to me.

Picture A few birds on the Wear Sunderland
Everyday at the same time, I go out and see what's about on The Wear (it is right next to my office) I only have half an hour, but the tide is always out and it's a good spot.
They are rubbish pics and only stand as record shots of what I've seen. Most of the sand banks with the flocks of waders etc are on the far side but have a prime lens on order! In one week from the same spot, I've seen Cormorants, curlew, lapwings, many heron, shelduck, kestrals, redshanls, oystercatchers turnstones, a glut of blackheaded, herring and little gulls and a black tailed rat.
