Default Water Birds & Gulls

Hi all

Does anybody know of a guide for Waterbirds & Gulls that can be carried.

I presently use a Collins all rounder but wondering if there was anything more specific.

All recomendations welcome

Thank you

I would ditto this post, I'm looking for a good carry-around book on freshwater birds.

There's a Waders book in the very same series as Mike recommends for Gulls.

Can't vouch for either, personally, I make do with my Collins Bird Guide for the time being!

Yep - did mean Wildfowl, the one you mentioned is out of print now and as such prices have gone through the roof.

I found a nice one in the end direct from Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, Its easy to use and the identification system developed by Peter Scott is great. The drawings (all by him) actually highlight the relevant areas needed to ID a bird. Not bad for the money either and small enough to carry about
