Collins are also launching a website in the near future with lots of features including rare bird alerts,bird recording etc......should be a good site!!!

Is this 2nd edition photos and not drawings? I do prefer photos.

Actually, how does this differ to the Collins Complete British Birds (which I use), which I see is now called complete guide to

EDIT:- I see , the one you are talking about is the hardcover full on book and the one I have is paperback.

Allready ordered it but it is the complete guide to birds in Britain and Europe. I thought it was just the birds in Britain I ordered.

Hi
I don't know if i have not read the thread correctly but i have had the collins bird guide2nd edition for some months now, its an hardback with black cover and the bird word is in gold; its a really good book'
if i am speaking out of line sorry

You're not out of line Jonven. I read the thread and the book you have is the book I wanted but somehow ordered the other one which included European birds. My bad.
I could have cancelled order but what the hey, Might be handy for my trips abroad sometimes.
