I too love dogs, my family has had dogs for years and I'm glad there are wonderful, responsible dog owners out there.

I would just like to point out that at the begining of my first post I said, ''irresponsible dog owners'', and certainly didn't mean to tar the good name of dog owners per se.

The sad part is that a dog can be trained to leave animals alone. I have 2 Great Danes and they wouldn't consider attacking an animal.

We are plagued with ferrule cats here. I had noticed several cats around and contacted animal control. We sat out live cages and caught 13 cats in 14 days. Problem with them is, not only are they after the birds, they will kill lizards, small snakes, baby rabbits and anything else that moves. They are most likely responsible for the dwindling quail populations. I haven't seen a quail here in 6 years, now.
