Default Bittern! Whoot!

My middle name is now "chuffed". Went for a walk in the sunshine this morning and saw this Bittern, twice! A Lifer! At Marsworth Reservoir.

Wow! I've only ever seen them in flight. Thats a great view you got, well done!

Wow,nice one Peter,I'm chuffed for you and 2 super shots too,well done!
We saw one at the weekend but it was quite distant........got great views thru the scope tho......the markings on the feathers are amazing aren't they!

Thanks eveyone!, It was a good couple hundred feet away and it was hand held at 500mm! So I am doubly chuffed they came out like that at all.
