Default How's Your 2012 Year List Going?

I started a thread like this on another forum a few years ago and it was very popular so I thought I'd see how it went down here.
Think of it as a(nother) place to keep track of your yearlist, if you're keeping one, and to let others know how you're getting on.

My list, as of 3rd of January is 61, with highlights being Red Kite, Siskin and Goldeneye

Not sure of my total so far but i've already had some good birds, the highlights being European white-fronted Goose, Green-winged Teal, Scaup and Glaucous Gull. So I am quite pleased with the first couple of days of the year and I hope it continues.

A hard fought 53 so far. Even dipped on a Robin at Conwy on New Years Day. Looks like being a long year

I've not started yet!!! - Work, work, work and now I have 2 lovely weeks off and the weather is bol.......well, you all know what the weather is like!

I'm hoping to get out in the next day or two - there is an Iceland gull hanging about the mere all week!

I suppose I could start with:

1. Pigeon

Come on Alan, surely you've seen more than that? unless you work underground, live in a house with absolutely no windows and are transported everywhere in a sound and lightproof bubble?

I reckon you've actually also seen Black Headed Gull, Carrion Crow and/or Rook, Starling, Woodpigeon and heard if not seen Dunnock, Blackbird and Robin!!

Well, I've had nothing new since the second, due to the gales, but I'm hoping (against hope) that I'll be able to add not only a year tick but a patch and hometown tick this (extended) lunchtime in the shape of a Great Grey Shrike........watch this space as they say

EDIT:

YAY! 62! The GGS showed well, down to 50-60 feet, even when the gale force winds were driving rain, horizontally, into my back and it's face!
This is not only a year tick, but also a new patch and home-town tick (yes, I'm a list addict!)

A short walk for a couple of specific targets this morning before the rest of the family surfaced netted me two more year ticks

63. Greenfinch
64. Goldcrest

Ringing tomorrow, with a potential for 3 or 4 more additions........
