Smaller flocks of waders on the beach too. I've started scanning for the first Wheatear, and yesterday a Sand Martin was reported...

Whoop!!

In the middle of a typically thoroughly miserable March day yesterday, I stepped outside into my daughter's Manchester garden just as a Comma flew through. My first butterfly of the year.

Nice butterfly sightings Maverick and Tony.

I have yet to see a butterfly! I will do my best to rectify that at the weekend.

Tree and hedgerow foliage is coming on a bundle now!
