If they get round to reading this article they can add arson to their list of things to blame Hen Harriers for so they can warrant shooting them.

My first thoughts were great to see you back posting Alan!

It is a fascinating article and pretty frightening when you see what the consequences are. I know the birds have to eat to survive but this seems pretty extreme behaviour to flush out their prey!

I was fascinated by the intelligence of the raptors - did they work it out through observations of forest fires? Learnt behaviour is one thing, but purposeful behaviour is highly intelligent. Survival of the fittest and all that.
