Very cute. Yes, they are magical moments.
There is a zoo a mile from me and while I was walking around with the zookeeper, I spied an animal peering out at us from it's cubby hole. He said she was a Biturong (Bear Cat) but, she never came out during the day. I asked if I could sit there alone and talk to it and he said "Good luck". I started talking to her and she finally came out and looked me right in the eye. I said, "Hi, Baby". (animals love that) Then she just relaxed and started posing for me.

Animals seem to have a real sense of who to trust and who not to, I think most people just don't have the patience to let the connection happen.

It's their loss!!

Or the desire, But, I think most people havejust never had the opportunity to experience something like that. As urban areas keep getting bigger, children are just never exposed to wildlife.

Thats a good point and very true, I get my daughter amongst animals every chance I get and she loves it. She's only 5 years old and at the stage she takes in information like a sponge, it's great to watch her interact with animals with so much confidence

it would be great if more children got the opportunity to do the same
