Default Which camera????

I have a spare £1,000 to spend and would like to back up my Nikon D300. The cameras to choose from are D300s or the New D7000 at this moment in time. There are going to be the "4" SERIES released, when nobody knows. Any sensible advice,

p.s. I would never buy a Canon.

Default cannon

Hi Mike and good morning, I use a nikon myself, but why would you not consider a canon, as they are supposed to be the best ? regards Mac

I have the d300s, fab camera however the D7000 has better metering, better iso range, 16mp which i think is a ideal size for a apsc sensor. for me it would be the d7000.

I have a conon 550d and would like to upgrade, I would never go for a nikon.
The reason being all my lenes are for a canon body, so it would mean buying new lenes too, making it an expensive swap.

A Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera would be my choice with £1000 to spare.

Mike, you going with DX format? Why not FX? Not worth the extra?

My partner's got the D300s (for bird photography) and is very happy with it.

P.S. I would never buy a Nikon.

Mr. Rockwell is somewhat enamoured by the D7000.

This would be a little pointless for a back up to a D300 for the obvious reasons already stated - lenses
