Default My D7000 and the results.

Earlier in the Month I asked what you would buy with a spare £1,000, but remember all the lenses were Nikon fit and I wanted to back up the D300. Well I went for the D7000 and I must say I am very impressed, Fast focus,Pin Sharp, and all you could want in a package now priced about £800. Yes I know the lens takes the picture but I have had these same lenses on other cameras with nowhere near the same results. I was out Thursday to try birds in flight and the 3d tracking on the camera with very pleasing results, I have posted a few gull shots, to see what you think and also try your ID skills out. A great camera which in the 4 weeks I have had it has paid for its self no only in £'s but pleasure. What will the D400 bring or will I bother?

Gulls and Terns is as far as I could go.

I 20,000 on my D3 and I wonder if I should shift that now while it still has some value as I think it will plummet over 50,000 and if or when the D4 comes out.

You are convincing me to go with this D7000, I am unsure about going back to DX format.

Incidentally, I came across this website which is a live database of camera life by shutter actuations.

Amazing photos Mike, superb detail. My father in law has just bought himself one of these... his pics aren't as good as yours though... not yet anyway
