Question Digiscoping advice please

Hi my name is Mike and I've just registered with Birding UK. I've always been a keen photographer but now I'm retired and living on the Isle of Islay I want to start digiscoping. I have an 80mm Scope with 20x-60x zoom eye piece. I have two compact digital cameras, an old Canon Ixus 430 and a fairly new Panasonic Lumix TZ10. Can anyone give me advice on camera adapters and best settings to use.

Many thanks for any help, Mike.

Hi Mike, Stability and practice.........................Plenty of both in my very amateur humble opinion.
Some good tips here and here

There are numerous clamps, add ons, adapters and cameras that will bamboozle the hell out of you, it did me when I started. My set up uses a lumix too, fantastic Leica lenses.

Warning.......Shameless plug coming up

I've just upgraded my rig and have a load of the above gadgets going spare, if I can be of any help.

Regards

Hi Cassillis

Many thanks for your reply, I found the links very helpful. Your "shamless plug" did not open but I would be interested in any bits and bobs you may have going spare. You can email me if you like on michaelyoung05@aol.com
Thanks again, Mike.
