Default Northumberland Coast AONB

The Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is among the finest landscapes in the country. The 37 AONBs in England are recognised as the equivalent of National Parks in terms of landscape quality.

AONBs were established with the purpose of conserving and enhancing natural beauty. This primary purpose must also be balanced with the needs of the local community, rural economy and visitors.
