scope lens minefield

hi everyone
I need some advice on buying a lens for my first scope, I,ve absolutley no idea which one to buy, Eventually I plan to use it for digiscoping!....................I,m looking to buy only one lens for now, can anyone offer me some advice where to begin.
If it,s helpful am buying the Opticron GS 52 ED .

Hi Steve, when you say lens do you mean eye piece? Does it not come with one?
