Lovely couple of days......!09/05...10/05
On and around the river ribble,have seen the following in the last 2 days.!Snipe,wheatear,corn bunting sort of sure?,skylark,lapwing,shellduck,oystercatcher,swif t,swallow,sand martin,widgeon,canada geese,cormorant,goosander,great crested grebe,nuthatch,greylag geese,goldfinch,muteswan,various tits,gulls,....all within an half hour cycling distance from my flat.!
Peace.!P.S also explored (courtesy of google earth!) a large pond ,that had obviously been set up to keep the wildfowl there for when the shooting season starts....there was about a million mallard there,with some seriously big feeders.Peace..!Ps the goosander were fishing,it was like watching synchronised diving with the 2 males ,they would dive down at the same time and pop up at the same time time,really nice to watch.!Peace.!
