I am a regular visitor to the area around Newton on the River Hodder. On a couple of my fishing trips during the first 2 weeks of November I have heard what I think is a warbler of some description but unfortunately I have not managed to lay eyes on this elusive bird. I am wondering if it could be a Cettis Warbler as I read a recent article about this bird in The Times nature column. On reading more about it, they are apparently based more in the south of the country-can anybody shed any light on this for me?
