Went for a Merseyside coast sea-watch to New Brighton yesterday. A chance to see if I could catch up with any lingering Petrels or Balearic and Sooty Shearwater that had been blown close to the Mersey mouth during Thursdays winds. No luck with the Wilson's Petrel that was seen from Crosby in fact no Petrels at all. But decent all the same.

Bar-Tailed Godwit- 4
Grey Plover- 1 (summer plumage)
Great Skua -1
Arctic Skua- 2
Sandwich Tern- 5
Common Tern -1
Fulmar -2
Kittiwake- 3 (1 ad 2 juv
Sabine's Gull -1 (juv)
