Been keeping very busy lately. New job is creating a lot of paper work.

Was in Port glasgow today and what I would have done to spend more time there. Tide out, birds all over the place but couldn't stop.

It was a beautiful day as well, bit cold in the morning but nice and warm by lunchtime.

Tried to take pictures of two birds on a roof of an old building. They were all black, Like Carrion Crows but smaller, bigger than blackbird and making a chough chough sound.
The sun was in front of me so the pictures taken were not to clear. Doesn't help when the bird is all black as well.

Last week I did not go to bed and set of for a secret location with a pro photographer friend to shoot capers.
It was freezing cold and I was sorry I agreed to go. But when the birds appeared, it was all worth while.

Then it was off to another place another day to get Grouse. Once again, they showed which great.

Then it was a dash to get to work. Why couldn't I do this when I was not working LOL.
I was so tired. But nice to see the birds in action and actually get pictures of them. I went to Mugdock Park as a poster mentioned he went. Have to say it's more like a play park for kids than anything else. Chased a tree creeper around a tree again but this one was very skittish. Watched a Great tit fetching nesting material.
Saw a few usual birds and aprt from that, nothing else.

It's been a hectic week and today was a shocker.

Once we were just finishing for the day, we realised the vehicle we were using was not road taxed

I did look at it when I got the vehicle but I did not connect it was 2010 and not 2009. 30/11/09.

"In the name of the wee man", I screeched.
Got on the phone to big boss and told them we do no more work till this is fixed. Drove home and hoped to goodness no one stopped us.
How we never noticed this before is shocking, but to give us a vehicle that wasn't road taxed was shocking in the frst place.

They are going to pay it online tonight and I wait for confirmation e mail to varify this. If not, we go nowhere tomorrow.

Anyway, I am getting to see other places with potential for some good birding spots.
I think I will leave the early morning rises when I am not working again

Just not enough time in the day anymore.
Does anything go smoothly for me?
Never. There's always something waiting to throw a big spanner in the works.

Didn't get the lie in. Got the confirmation e mail in the morning so everything was ok to start again.

    Nope. they were Choughs.

The Jackdaws have a different call to the Choughs. I described it as a chough chough sound and I didn't realise there were birds called choughs.
