Have just got back from the holiday that I have always wanted to take. My wife found a small advert in the RSPB magazine and said that it looked interesting. The holiday was for a fully guided week in southern france.

Taking advantage of some rare sunshine, we took a walk from Hardley Staithe along the River Yare and via Langley Dyke, back to the car.

Large flock of Pink Footed Geese circled over the marsh and we then came upon a Barn Owl that flew up from just in front of our feet. The owl flew down to some marsh meadow and dropped onto some prey. It came up with a vole?... and was instantly hit by a Kestrel. After a brief struggle the Kestrel took off with a free dinner.
