Hello there,

I'm glad I found this site, cause it looks like a very useful & friendly place to be.

I'm just getting back into Birding after being too busy at other things for too many years, but I do keep an eye on my own little patch, as you will see, if you check out My Own Wee Blog

I'm mostly into BIrds of Prey & all those fascinating wee brown jobs, too.
Anyway, I started a Bird of Prey Forum recently, as just my way to keep in touch with what's happening to these magnificent birds, especially over here in Ireland.

I've also started to keep an eye on what's been spotted around the country, not that I'm interested in dashing around ticking, but just for curiosity.

So I was fascinated to see that in the last couple of days two very rare birds have been spotted over here.
The American Northern Rough-winged Swallow yesterday in Kerry & a Cedar Waxwing today, in Galway.

As for me, I'm just waiting to see my first Fieldfares & Redwings for this Autumn. I always enjoy seeing old friends return.

Cheers
Dick
