Just been for a cycle with my boyfriend, we followed the White Cart River down to the Clyde and I was amazed at the birds there, there were hundreds of teal, cormorant, curlews, common sandpipers, herons, the resident buzzard at Renfrew Golf Club.
I've lived here for over 3 years and didn't realise all this was literally a few minutes from my house, will have to go down in proper day light for a better look.

Waxwings

Posted 19-01-11 at 12:26 PM by valerie89

Yesterday I was having a rubbish day, had taken the car to Audi for the third time in a few days to fix one fastener but every time I got the car back there was something else wrong.
So I was in a foul mood and driving into my street when I saw a flock of birds eating berries from the hedges, then I realised they were waxwings! I have never seen a waxwing before and there were 20ish in my street, I was so excited but as I was driving past they flew off.

I saw them later on...
