Bird Feeder

Put up a feeder today in the garden, the wife's not too pleased she thinks they attract rats but we'll wait and see. First visitor was a Blue Tit but thats all i saw today but maybe some more will come tomorrow.

Hopefully you'll soon be attracting all sorts of Finches and Tits,Wilky and maybe even the odd Woodpecker........Woodpigeons,Dunnocks,Chaffinches and Robins "hoover" up most of the mess under my feeders and I've never seen a Rat in over 20 years of feeding the birds!
Looking forward to reading about your visitors.......be patient it can take a while to establish a new feeding area.

Had a pair of Coal Tits in the garden today but they were constantly being chased off the feeder by a Blue Tit. Also had 2 Robins but no finches, hopefully word will get around, i'd love to see Goldfinches they're my favourite finch.Posted 04-12-09 at 05:16 PM by Wilky13

It's odd as some people say their Goldies prefer sunflower hearts and some nyger seed.......it's worth trying both tho,good luck!Quote:Originally Posted by Wilky13
