Post Reptiles & Amphibians in Gardens 2009 Survey

The BTO Garden Ecology Team is working with Froglife and the Herpetological Conservation Trust on a new survey to find out how reptiles and amphibians use gardens.

In particular, they need people to tell them about the different habitat features within their gardens (such as ponds and compost heaps), features that might support particular reptile and amphibian species.

A simple questionnaire has been produced for the survey (on special card which goes through a computer scanner, which is why you need to request a survey pack), together with an identification guide and some information about reptiles and amphibians.

The BTO has sent out over 15,000 forms for this new survey but they still want to hear from other potential participants.

The survey covers a period from 1st January 2008 to June 2009, so please hurry!

Please contact or telephone 01842-750050, mentioning Birding UK and Ireland, to request a pack.
