Default Canon 8X25 IS (Image Stabilised) Binoculars

Hi
This is my first thread on the forum after purchasing a used pair of Canon 8X25 IS (Image Stabilised) Binoculars.
It appears that there is some dust/debris on the inside surface of one of the objective lenses.
Is there any way that one can remove the objective lens on this model to enable me to clean the inner surface of the lens?

your help would be very much appreciated

thanks

Graham

Unless you are very confident I wouldn't mess with them. There are loads of places that will service them for 30-40 quid including optical alignment and you will have effectively a spot on pair.

You [I]can[I] do it yourself, but the problem you'll have is that whilst trying to remove dust you almost certainly won't be in a dust-free environment, so you run the risk of making the problem worse. Like Peter, I'd leave it to the professionals.

Would you know whether the objective lenses on the Canon 8X25 IS bino's will screw off?

Sorry, no I don't, but you might try Googling it. You never know.
