Default Nikon ed 50.

I have finally decided to buy one.For me being a cyclist it really seems to fit the bill as it is light and compact, and has had some really excellent reviews on bird forums. The only thing that i cannot decide on at the moment is which eyepiece to purchase....after reading the reviews in depth,it seems the 2 most popular eyepices are a 13x40 zoom and a 27w these are both apparently great all rounders. Just cannot make me mind up which one to purchase. In an ideal world i would be able to try both the scope out and the eyepieces but am unable too because nowhere local sells them.If anyone has had any experience of this scope or the eyepieces mentioned some info would be nice....!Peace.....!

If you want to try a scope and eyepiece before you buy try In Focus Optics at WWT Martin Mere.......quite near to you!
I bought my scope from them and they are very good and very helpful!
My eyepiece is a wide eyepiece 24X30 zoom and the scope a Nikon ED 82 which has been a wonderful buy!
Good luck with your choice!

Default Thanx for the reply twitcheruth......!

I know where you mean, but being a tighto/moneywise i have never been as yet.Last time i was cycling past and checked it out it,i think it was was £8.50....to get in........!Not a lot of money i know, but i just seem to have an aversion to paying to watch birds....!I suppose this aversion will change over the years when my list gets longer, and there are birds there and elsewhere/which require payment 2 see which i have not seen.....!but at the moment i am quite happy to combine my other hobby cycling, with birding.......!I had no idea obviously...! that there was a scope shop there, will be checking the link out it in depth later.Thanx .........peace....!

You can get your money refunded Bassist,as the staff at In Focus stamp your receipt so that you get the entry money for the reserve back.......so well worth popping along to try the products in the field.
