I know I've not been around for a long while but here's my results from the 25th between 12.25 and 13.25

house sparrow 9
magpie 4
carrion crow 2
blackbird 2 (a pair)
blue tit 2
great tit 2
bull finch 2 (a pair)
dunnock 2
wood pigeon 1
robin 1
coal tit 1
g/s woodpecker 1
sparrowhawk 1 (nearly got a blue tit)

Quite blustery conditions so I expected a low small bird count but woody, the bull finches and the hawk more than made up for it

I have just submitted my Big Garden Birdwatch results, the RSPB website was rather busy at the weekend so I waited for a quieter period.

I hadn't realised I had to report my hours bird watch to here. My apologies, here is what I saw-

3 Crisp packets
5 cans of pop (different varieties)
8 plastic bags blowing in the wind
4 teenagers smoking in the back alley
My next door neighbour sitting in his car for no apparent reason
My friend Ed in the house opposite going out, then returning 30 minutes later
3 of my neighbours 9 cats
0 birds

I honestly can't wait for next years RSPB garden birdwatch because I will actually be able to report birds!

A tad embarrassing but my total number of birds for the weekends RSPB bird count was a big fat zero.

It was all spoiled by torrential rain and gale force gusts of wind, so staring out of the window all I saw in the garden was debris flying around and our two very depressed looking sheep.
