The usual pigeons this morning - about 6, Starlings fighting as normal - 8 at once so far, 15 of my daily Goldfinch - they are really munching their way through the nijer seed, have filled the feeder twice this week!, 1 Chaffinch, 3 Greenfinch and 3 House Sparrows.

There's a lack of Blackbird and Blue tit here too, although it usually picks up as the weather gets colder, then I get Robin and Dunnock as well, but only 1 or 2 at most.

My garden has gone really quiet! Only 4-5 Woodpigeons come for brekkie along with 3-4 Blackbirds, the usual 4-5 Dunnocks and a Robin. Blue & Great Tits come in to feed at various times of the day but I haven't seen or heard the Long-tailed Tits at all this week!

I'm 'dying' from 'man-flu' at the moment, so all of my birding is from my window looking out onto the garden. The Coal tit cheered me up and made a change from the regulars.

I'm inundated with finches at the moment - I've just counted 15 Greenfinch, 8 Goldfinch and 3 Chaffinches all squabbling over the feeders. The Goldfinch seem to have gone off the nijer seed lately and devour sunflower hearts all day. There are 3 House Sparrows in the tree at the bottom of the garden waiting for an opening! I also have about 9 Starlings arguing whilst devouring the fat balls and peanuts.

Nothing at all here, the seed feeder is the same level as it was three days ago and the fat ball is untouched.

my winter visitors have just arrived,
today in the garden;
Blackbirds,
Missle thrush;
bluetits;
greattits;
coaltits;
sparrows;
colared doves;
wood pidgeons
and a robin
I live on the edge of town but think the cold weather has brought them all in to the gardens.My garden is on 17yards by 8 yards with a band of trees between the garden and the road.
Also hoping last years visitors return as they were like clock work every tue and thurs am between 930 and 1030. A noisy gang of 7 longtailed tits with 2 greenfinches and 5 great tits.Was really strange to see but very rewarding
cheers Paul
