Blackbird Chick still in garden

The Last up-date was on the 4 May,we were down to one chick,despite having to rescue it daily it has survived. It still has not left the garden but will root in a large Oak tree next door,it can fly better now but it has taken 4 weeks to get this far(is this normal)Mum and Dad still feed it,but I have seen it looking for its own food.Have put some photos in Garden Birds Album.
