Default Magpies

Had 9 Magpies in the garden at once - I think it's the most I've had at one time. Here's just 6 of them.

Goodness me! They will empty your feeders Ian! I have had the grand total of 4 recently, 9 is a good number!

One for sorrow,
Two for joy,
Three for a girl,
Four for a boy,
Five for silver,
Six for gold,
Seven for a secret,
Never to be told.
Eight for a wish,
Nine for a kiss,
Ten for a bird,
You must not miss.[1

Found this on google.

And was the signature tune for a children's TV programme many years ago (showing my age now!)
