Correct Peter! It is a Raven, well done. It had been spotted perched on the bridge in the pic as walked around Cannop Ponds, as soon as it spotted us it flew away 'kronking' as it flew! It returned as we reached the opposite side of the water and began to bathe, flying back to the bridge (which is to the right in the pic) in between dips!

I've never seen a Raven on the ground let alone bathing. Fantastic.
