Went over tonigh to be faced with the first Jay I have ever seen at Marton Mere

Last night on the mere, during the Starling roost saw a female Peregrine circling but lost her, then walking back round all Starlings skitted, one was screaming its heart out and saw it being dragged in the air by a female Sparrowhawk to which the Starling actually escaped... Starling 1 - Peregrine 0.
