I was there again on Saturday morning and I kid you not, there were at least 24 snipe sat in front of the hide (there were probably far more but they're not the easiest things to count!!).
What was interesting, is that when the peregrine went over, every single bird (and there were hundreds of lapwing, if not more) went up in the air, apart from the snipe which instead relied on their excellent camouflage and just sat tight!
