redstart 8 The male has just arrived at the "front door" of the nest. The nest itself is apparently in the hollow branch to the left of the square hole. I was expecting to hear some noise from the nestlings but they seemed to be silent.

    Thanks for the comment Jonny. They are nice birds, and finding their nest and getting the photographs lifted what was otherwise a fairly ordinary trip into a special one. It was too hot though!
