I look forward to them. Nice to see you featuring the Robin. I've got a pair of them both at home and at the office. Personally I don't know much about Shropshire, so I am looking forward to seeing your posts and doing some research.

    Hi Chrissy,

Welcome and thanks for your post and photograph.

I thought your Nikon D80 review was really good. I'm considering that model myself.

I look forward hearing and seeing more about birds in Shropshire.

It seems to me whenever I get on here, I blink and a few months has gone by. I have images that I am about to post up that I had every intention of coming in here and getting an ID for...and it is hard to believe that that is nearly two months ago
I blame work, it gets in the way of my leisure activities! However, I thought I would share a few images of Skiathos. Hopefully, I will manage to find a few that I haven't posted on my personal blog to make it interesting for the friends I...

As some of you may have seen from my new image folder, I have just been lucky enough to return from a two week holiday in the Maldives. It was a very dreamed of holiday and I spent much of my time out on the reef viewing the wildlife under the water.

However, from a birding point of view, whilst there were not that many, it was still fascinating. Interestingly whilst we saw some kind of seagull from the boat, we didn't see them again for the duration of the holiday on the island of...

I called into Venus pool on Thursday of this week and was watching some ringed plovers squabbling away. They are busy little things thats for sure, I did eventually manage to take a photograph although it was a bit of a long way off.

Other than that I thought it was a little bit quiet, there were a few lapwings, a great crested grebe surfaced near to the hide but I didn't see anything too unusual.
I also went and took a look at Lena's hide which has lot of...

Well, I suppose if I was like a normal birder I would be posting up all the wonderful things that I had come across during the past week...but no-one could ever describe me as normal and I don't even know what some of the birds look like that my local group keep discussing.
My wildlife/photographic days fit around lots of circumstances! It can be interesting or not as the case may be. Firstly, you need to know that we live by a small patch of woodland and my first observation on Sunday was...
