Picture 3 of 33 from Album

Marsh Harrier
I did have a slightly better picture, but can't bring myself to put it on as she had just caught a juvenile moorhen.

Do please post your better picture, Debsie. Birds of prey live by killing - and it's really no different to a blue tit taking a caterpillar. Bad news for the moorhen but good for the marsh harrier. No predation, no harriers! And after all moorhens are quite plentiful. Be proud that you saw, and managed to photograph, a moment of natural drama.
