Had a nice afternoon out in my home town have found a spot near a railway bridge great tits blue tits and the odd bullfinch and spoted a small long tailed tit also close to the railwat bridge. but did'nt spot much else and after thinking that was that spoted a small bird in a hedge next to a small farm but after focussing on it with my bionoculars it was a disappointing sparrow so was just about to set off when a sparrowhawk came flying in after the house sparrow which fortunately got away but the sparrow hawk perched itself on the bridge next to the railway line and then flew over my head a first time for me so was a great ending to a quite day i think its time to purchase a camera!! but it made my day
Was having a thought and maybe due to the fact most of the leaves have now fallen off the cherry tree in my back garden the're more exposed ie less cover from the local cat population. or they just have different feeding habits this time of year
Hi All
Have just added to my collection of bird feeders a couple of days ago have added extra peanuts seeds mixes and fat balls are garden birds abit Autistic (ie they find it difficult dealing with changes in the inviironment as i havn't had many visits from the usual groups of housesparrows or the robins although they are abit shy compared to house sparrows or is it the fact its November different feeding habits any ideas???
