Default Gutted

Took the kids to the Isle of Wight for the Half term break, packed the scope and bins, just in case. Had a very pleasant afternoon at the needles and headed to Ventnor for an evening meal on the esplanade. All was well, till I took a tumble down some stairs that is.

Free ride in an ambulance, plenty of entonox, numerous prods pokes and X-rays and the result?

Ruptured ligaments in the right knee and torn left thigh muscles. One leg in a splint and the other next to useless.

And to top it all I'm supposed to be driving my newly refurbished Land Rover to the Cairngorms next week on a four-day organised birding trip looking for Capercaillie.

Bu**er!!!

Thanks both. No idea how long. I have to wait for the initial swelling to go down before the full extent of the damage is known.

Quick update..............................Patella ligament has had it and needs surgery to repair it.
I'm assured that due to the nature of the injury it will be sooner rather than later

Bu**er! .......................Again!!

Ouch!

I'll volunteer to push you round College lake if you get bored waiting for it to heal.
